Panda Express's Orange Chicken

Panda Express's Orange Chicken

INGREDIENTS:
2 lbs chicken breasts
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp salt
white pepper
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup water
1 TB ginger root
1 tsp garlic, minced
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1/4 cup green onions
1 TB rice wine
1/2 tsp sesame oil

Sauce:
1 1/2 TB soy sauce
1 1/2 TB water
5 TB sugar
5 TB white vinegar
1 orange zest

DIRECTIONS:
1. Place chicken pieces in large bowl.
2. Add egg, salt, pepper, mix.
3. Stir cornstarch and flour together. Add chicken pieces to coat.
4. Deep fry chicken in oil.
5. In wok, add 1 TB oil, ginger, and garlic. Stir fry until fragrant, about 10 seconds.
6. Add red pepper ad green onions.
7. Add rice wine and stir for three seconds.
8. Add orange sauce and bring to a boil.
9. Add cooked chicken.
10. Add sesame oil and stir.
10. Stir water into remaining 1 TB cornstarch until smooth and add to chicken.
